USCIS to begin requiring Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record (Form I-693) to be submitted together with Form I-485 Adjustment of Status

Rivera & Shirhatti. PC.

On December 2, 2024, USCIS released an alert that as of this date, it will begin requiring certain applicants for Adjustment of Status (permanent residence) to file their Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record (Form I-693) simultaneously with the Adjustment application, or USCIS may reject the application.

Applicants for adjustment of status must generally complete an immigration medical examination and all required vaccinations and submit a properly completed and sealed Form I-693 signed by a civil surgeon to show they are free from health conditions that would render them inadmissible under the health-related grounds.

Applicants required to submit Form I-693, or a partial Form I-693 (such as the Vaccination Record), as part of the Adjustment application, will now be required to submit it with together with Form I-485.
